A real cigar humidor will have it's interior lined in kiln-dried Spanish cedar, as this is the most aroma neutral wood on the market today. Certain steps must be taken to properly set up the new cigar humidor. You just can't open up your new cigar humidor and throw your cigars in there. The cigar humidor must be seasoned first. Seasoning will add moisture to the kiln-dried Spanish cedar. Failure to season the humidor will result in the kiln-dried wood sucking all the moisture out of your cigars.
